Hi all,

I really would like to know if you could use the regular dining plan to pay for room service? And, if yes, what breakfast items they do offer for room service?

Strange - if you look at the official pdf-document which contains the participating restaurants for 2015, it clearly says, that in-room dining is included (2 table service credits).
BUT, if you look at the web page of the respective hotel (for example Beach Club) and you click on "Dining" and "Room service", it says "Dining plans not accepted".
:confused3

What is the truth? I would love to order something from room service!!

This is from All Ears which I consider reliable:

In-Room Dining -- TWO table service credits (gratuities included) will be deducted from your Dining Plan for a single serving meal. A meal will include the following items:

--Entree
--Dessert (at lunch and dinner)
--Non-alcoholic beverage

This is for single serving portions only, and does not include hospitality platters, amenities, or merchandise.

Pizza Delivery -- TWO ADULT table service credits (gratuities included) will be deducted from your Dining Plan for a pizza delivery meal:

--two non-alcoholic beverages
--one pizza entree item
--two desserts

The Dining Plan DOES NOT include the following:
-- Alcoholic beverages
-- SOME outdoor food carts and recreation rental counters
-- In-room mini-bars
-- Glow cubes and other items considered as merchandise, like bottle straps
-- Special dining events with special menus at certain table-service restaurants

It sounds like for one person, they charge you 2 TS credits for in-room dining which is like a signature meal. NOT worth it. You're likely better off paying OOP if you want room service. The pizza delivery will charge you 2 TS credits, but you can get one pizza which is enough for two people.

The official PDF is correct. The restaurant websites are notoriously wrong. I think it was Chef Mickey's that caused a huge commotion earlier this year when their website said they didn't accept the dining plan, but it was just a glitch.
