Room Requests ?

Hi Guys,

Just wondered how you go about making special room requests with WDW ?

Is it just call into the reservations phoneline were they make a note on your booking ? I did hear about a some people that call and then fax the resort hotel direct ?

For our Pop Century room requests, we faxed Pop directly a couple of weeks before our arrival with our booking number (make sure you have the US one - email Disney if you only have a UK one) and details.

I once read somewhere that rooms aren't allocated until at least 14 days in advance of arrival, so it's not worth doing it before then.

We've always be given the room location we requested.

If possible, I would have a note made on the actual reservation. If you have more than one request, put them in order of priority. They seem to accommodate requests from 'top to bottom' if they do manage to honour them.

Yep ill make sure i do that 1st when I pay the balance next week...

You need it on your reservation as with the new computer system they dont look at faxes anymore.

THanks I had typed that into my previous post, but wasn't sure if it had been temporary while they ironed out the creases in the new system. So it isn't set to change then?

It doesn't look like it - there have been reports on the DVC board that they are now trying to standardise requests. I don't know if this will move over to the main system or not but it doesn't look like they will be going back to the faxes.
