Room requests

Hi all - staying POR on the 15th august for 2 weeks - have read somewhere that you might be able to request certain room (s) - have read in a guide the best rooms etc - but question being - whats the best way to go about it - many thanks

Last year we did this at POR, I just called the hotel reception a week before with my request.
