Room requests Cars Suite and Coronado

We are dvc members but just booked a last minute trip for October. Not used to staying at the regular resorts. What requests should I make for a Cars suite and a standard room at Coronado?

Also any pointers, pro tips for these resorts? Looking forward to checking out two new resorts!

You should be able to request the cars suite when you book, it gives you the option to pick between the themes if they’re available. We stayed in a Nemo suite for two nights st the end of our last trip (at ASMu suite)because my kids were dying to check out the resort. I think the memo suites are preferred suites, so they cost more.We also always stay DVC so it was s change for us. Loved the pool and all the theming. The cars section is amazingly themed, many great opportunities for pictures. We really liked AoA, the food court was great, theming was great, rooms were cute but not as big as DVC 2 bedrooms were used to. And they don’t have a complete kitchen. It’s also nice being close to Pop, you can walk around that resort and check out the theming there too. Have fun! Edited to add: I just noticed that you already booked. I’d call and request cars if it’s available they should be able to accommodate you.

We stayed at Coronado a couple of weeks ago. Definitely request Casitas section ( I believe buildings 4 and 5 are not considered "preferred" so there are lots of standard rooms there). It is furthest from the huge tower construction. Although there is construction all around the resort and the main pool will be under refurbishment when you get there, the Casitas section was very quiet and still close to the lobby/food areas. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed it. But, YMMV! Also, all of the room renovations in that area are complete.

We are excited to try something new. We are booked in a Cars suite. Just wondering if there is a particular location that is best.

Just found out about the Coronado pool. It’s just one night. Hoping the quiet pools will do the trick. The kids will have already swam over at AoA that day.

Your kids will LOVE the Big Blue Pool! It so cute! There’s also a special little thing that makes this pool different...tell your kids to listen carefully when they go under water!
