Room requests at the Poly

Our only request was a balcony or patio, and we got Fiji, second floor (most rooms have patios/balconies but these don't)...so we went back to the desk and nicely asked to be moved and got Tokelau, ground floor with a wonderful view! I don't know that requests work all that often, we don't tend to get them; but we have learned to ask for a change if we aren't satisfied and they really do try to please.

The only possible reason I can think of for why my requests are ignored over and over is that I am at the end of the alphabet! Maybe the CMs who assign the rooms (if they even do that for people with no special needs) start at letter A and never reach the end! :

Oh well - maybe the OP will be one of those lucky ones! I sure never was!

Well, I am at the very beginning of the alphabet and have better luck but only batting about .500 on requests over the years. Realizing they don't always happen makes it easier to accept what you do get and thinking it is special when you do get a request.

I am actually glad to see some posts where people say they don't get requests. I'm not happy they didn't get their requests but if all you see are posts where people always get just what they asked for it makes you feel like you did something wrong if you are the one that doesn't.
