Room requests at SSR... How to do it?

I am wondering how to make a room request for our upcoming stay at SSR? We are staying as a DVC members guest and I know member services won't talk to me, but can I fax or email them or call the resort directly? My friend who is the member is out of town and I'm not able to reach him. Please let me know what I can do!!

Also wondering if we will be able to check in right away when we arrive on Saturday... we should be getting there around 1:00 1:30. Thanks!!

We are not supposed to fax the resort to make requests at DVC. Besides, any request made this late might as well not be made, because they are supposedly done on a first requested basis. Most make those requests at the time they book anywhere from 11 to 7 months ahead of the trip. I'd probably check in early and make suggested requests then. What kind of requests were you thinking of?

Since Members Services will only talk to members, ask the member who booked your stay to add a request to your reservation. Do remember that requests can't always be fulfilled, and it may be too late anyway.

Also, check-in isn't guaranteed until 4pm.... they will store your bags for you, but won't tell you your room number unless it's ready.
