Room requests at BCV?

Although we've owned there for a while, we are going on our first trip to BCV in a month as a dual DS birthday/yay we're done with chemo weekend trip.

I know exactly what to ask for when we go to VWL, but it occurred to me the other day that I just have no idea what requests I should be putting in (besides non-smoking, non-HC) for Beach Club. For that matter, how should I phrase it?

For instance, how would you request to be in the part of the Villas that's closest to the BC itself?

Any recommendations on requests? All would be appreciated.

We made our first trip home to BCV in March and it was great! When I booked 11 months out I requested a dedicated 2 bedroom, non-smoking, on a high up floor. I did not request a certain view, but many people do have a preference. We got all we asked for, plus a great view of EPCOT! We were able to see the fireworks from our balacony! I had heard that the road noise can be loud if you are on a lower floor so we were glad to get a 4th floor room. We were FAR from the elevator but it was okay for us as all of our kids are old enough to make the hike ( and DH and I are not TOO old to do it LOL.) The quiet pool view would be nice to IMO. I would not know exactly which rooms would be closest to the BC itself, but I guess you could ask about that as well. Enjoy your trip, I hope you love BCV as much as we did!!!!

Request just what you said, "Close to Beach Club main lobby".

If you request the quiet pool view, you will be relatively close to the BC - you can walk through the courtyard to the pool and enter teh building there to get to your room. It was nice to let the kids go for a quick swim in front of the room.

I have stayed at the BCV 2 times. No rooms IMO are real far from thr lobby. There just arn't that many rooms. We would cut through the back and walk the path past BC rooms and go stright to Epcot. May be a 10 min walk. I have also heard the road noise can be bad. I have never had a low floor. Also, make sure you are not by the dumpsters. They pick up early in the morning and the sound of BEEP, BEEP is very loud.

NOT to have a dumpster view? Do you say it like that?

For instance, the way I avoid a dumpster view at VWL is to ask to be "near the elevators" - this always keeps me safely away from the dumpsters, and I feel they might be more apt to grant a request *for* something than a request *not* to have something. Does that make sense?

So if I ask for a 'garden view' or 'quiet pool view', would that keep me from being near the dumpsters/road?

If I asked for 'near elevators' at BCV, that might actually put me closer to the dumpster/road, right?

Hi, i had about the same question, hope someone can help.

I have seen several maps of BCV and understand it is Y shaped. However i do not see any access roads, where exactly is this on the Y and where does it run to?

Is it actually cars and traffic? What i see looks more like a walkway. are there any better pictures or maps?

What is the little part of the BCV that sticks out toward beach club? In other words, the part that is closest to the epcot walkway. What would I call that portion of the villas in a request?

Also, are there two sets of elevators, one near the beach club and one near the dumpsters? If so, could I request 'near south elevators' or something like that?

Any and all opinions are welcome! I'm getting a little bit dizzy over this...

Near elevators closest to The Drawing Room? Would that work?

Jon, I think your best bet would be "near main elevators" Anywhere near the main elevators, you will either get a woods view, courtyard view (area between BC and BCV) or a pool view. The first set of elevators in the main hallway when you first enter is referred to as the main elevators and the other elevator is referred to as the pool elevator. (This elevator opens up right by the pool)
