Room requests at BC

We are booked for a standard room at Beach Club 5/28-6/4 Should I make a room request? We usually don't but from what I have been reading, we should. Any suggestions? We have never stayed at Beach Club only in the Villas.

If a balcony is important to you I would request one. Not all rooms have a full balcony.

I you want the fastest access to Epcot, you can request the wing we were in. Our room was 1518. It had a patio.
