Room request - should it be on confirmation?

When I booked our stay at POR, I requested building 14 or 27. I got my confirmation letter and it doesn't say anything about this. Is it supposed to?
Also, I saw some threads on faxing room requests. Should I be doing this even though I already made the request when I booked?

I **think** they stopped taking faxed requests.

I also noticed my confirmation only said non-smoking preferred, nothing about anything else I requested.

As far as I know, the only preferences that will appear will be smoking or non-smoking, connecting rooms or if you requested a fridge.

They do not put specific requests on the confirmation, usually only ones you pay for (ie. king bed, adjoing rooms, view etc) They are no longer accepting faxes but if you feel unsure call cro and say-

" My name is blank..and i was wondering what exactly are the specifics on my reservation"

then if it is not right you can have tham fix it..everything is in a central computer system that is hooked to the resorts so there should be no problem.
Also remeber depending on season it may be difficult for them to give you your exact preference (ie. a specific room #) but it has been my experience that they are usually more than accomadating! have a GREAT trip!

On our confirmation that we got in the mail last week it shows that we requested the Alligator Bayou section. DH requested not being on the ground floor, but they didn't mention that on the confirmation though.

Thanks. I think it does say Alligator Bayou and non-smoking. I'll probably double check to make sure they have our building preferences.

We requested top floor, 50's bldg POP, non smoking, when we called a few days ago to confirm they had NONE of these on our reservation. We are doing a magical gathe ring and they had it all on my SIL's though. I would always double check if the request is that important to you.

I received our confirmation today. My first request was "Non-Smoking" and that was noted under "requests". I also requested higher floor and that was actually noted further on. I would call to check, as my understanding is that the requests that go to the resort with the reservation from CRO/Disney Travel Company at about 3-5 days out, are the ones the work with, no longer faxed requests. JMHO.

My requests were not noted on my confirmation. I called a couple weeks before arrival and asked what requests were noted in the computer. The agent listed them and all were in the computer, just not on my confirmation sheet. I would call just to confirm.

Our confirmation for POFQ says "special request: non smoking." Then the next line says "please note: rqst bdg 1 not on ground floor." The CM who took my ressie was actualy the one who requested building one for us because all I asked for was a quiet area.

We requested room 3131 at CSR (it was our honeymoon room). It was on our confirmation that we requested it. We got it too!
