room request for pop

I made our reservations at POP for Nov 2008. I asked to be in the 50's building facing the lake, and the cm told me she would put my request in the computer but could not promise that i could get this room. Is this correct? Should i call back and see if it is in the computer?? If she is correct what are my chances of getting my request?

Our experience is they will work with you on room requests but they aren't guaranteed.

We were advised that you should call or fax the resort about 5 days before your arrival date with your room request. By then the reservation will be in the individual resort's system and you have a better chance of getting your request. Worked for us last year, and we hope it'll work again next month.
