Room request for parties traveling together

I guess we got lucky. We had a standard studio and our friends had a pool/garden 1-bedroom at BWV. We had put in a request to be near each other. We got assigned right around the corner from each other on the same floor, very convenient. This was this past November. We had the exact same dates.

Actually the November before at BWV, we were in a standard studio a few days before they arrived to their standard studio plus 2 overlapping nights, then we had 5 nights in a standard 1-bedroom while they stayed in their standard studio. Our studios were not close. Also, we had asked if we could connect for those last 5 nights, but our friends were assigned a dedicated studio. However, when we moved to our 1-bedroom, we were literally the room next to them. We connected to a different studio. We were on the first floor so we had the patios “connecting” at least.

Next year we pooled our points and are getting a 2-bedroom instead. So guaranteed together

I guess it is just best to ask and hope for something close. Frankly, I'm impressed at your ability to secure standard studios at BWV.

Sometimes we’ve gotten lucky getting a walk started, other times, we’ve picked up as others have walked by. It’s definitely not easy!

I put in room requests in order of importance. If being near the elevator is more important than listening that. Being near traveling parties then lost that first. MS can add multiple requests. Nothing is ever guaranteed but the room assigners seem to try to accommodate room requests.

BWV owner here - I make my room requests using CHAT and am usually successful with the more general requests "on the same floor" and "near the elevator."

I've always made my reservations at eleven months and made requests at that time. In 25 years of ownership, we've had ONE request met.

Make the request, your chances are better with making the request than not. Hope for the best. Plan for not getting your request and be delighted if the world spins in your favor.

Nope…and we don’t request anymore since we almost always arrive early and that is the priority.

So, I’d just make sure it’s requested more than a few weeks out when they begin assigning the rooms to guests.
