Our DS8 is on the specturm. He is very stuck on staying on the top floor (I think it has to do with the elevator but not sure). We will be staying at CSR in Feb. I want to make a room request but wasn't sure how I should go about requesting it. If we aren't on the top floor he will fight us everytime we go to or leave the room and after a few days it will wear you down and I just want us all to have a great time and no one be upset about what floor the room is on. Do all the buildings at CSR have elevators or does just the Casitas. How do I put in a room request and should I say why I am requesting it or just request (Top floor Casitas)? Thanks!!!:wizard:

When you make the reservation request the top floor....it will be marked on the reservation, but they will say there are no guarantees....

Call a week before and reconfirm that the note is still there...

When you go to check in - if it is not an early morning check in, you may have a problem...but if you are there early and explain to the person at the desk, they usually go out of their way to make sure you can have what you want if it is feasible.

My friend's oldest son is austistic - and I know Disney has done many things to help my friend and his family have a perfect as possible vacation...

Any request you make is just that and there are no guaranties ( as has already been said), but when you call be sure to tell them about your child and the reason that you are requesting the room. It still will not guaranty a room on the top, but they may try extra hard knowing why you want the room.

Call to make the room request, and tell them about your DS. Ask for the Casitas, top floor. Rancheros are further away from main services, and Cabanas are two floors only: don't remember any elevators there. Speak to the CM at check in again about the reasons for your request. A kind word and patience goes a long way.

We have just completed our stay at CSR: here is the story on the elevators. All of the buildings have elevators. The Cabanas are two floors, the Rancheros are three floors and the Casitas are four floors. Hope this is helpful info.

OP, I called this number 1-407-939-7807 and asked if it was possible not to be placed in the Ranchos because of how my son is drawn to cacti and finds them irresistable to touch. The cm I talked to said it was no problem for her to note that on my reservation. She suggested I call the resort at night 5 days prior to our check-in day and ask to speak to someone at the front desk. She gave me this number 1-407-939-1000.
