room request BWV

We're booked for a 1 BD standard view in August. Does anyone remember a great room with this view? I'll make the request if it will save us some walking or will let us watch the fireworks.

I think perfered view are the only rooms that can see fireworks..

I usually ask for a prefered view room near the boardwalk sign and see all the fireworks there.

As well as laugh at the drunks comming out of the clubs late at night

Most standard view rooms will be along the driveway. You can see the fireworks from Epcot's Illuminations from many of these rooms, especially from the higher floors near the valet parking. I book 1 bedroom standard often, but I don't worry about it much. I've never had a bad room in 8 years at BWV.

Further down the hall and higher up will tend to have better fireworks views - but some of these rooms are blocked by trees and most of Illuminations happens low to the lake. These are the least convienent rooms in terms of access - if you want easy getting around, you want a low floor (less stairs) and or close to the elevator.

My standard warning, in all my BWV stays I've never had a location request met. If I ask for high floor, I find out how lovely it is to be able to walk out my room to the pool. If I ask for close to the elevators - I find out how nice it is to be near the end of the resort closer to MGM.

When I've booked standard view, I've requested top floor, across from the bus stop and was never disappointed. Had a view of the fireworks.

I think the number for the really great standard 1 bedroom is X123, i.e. 3123, 4123, etc. MS may laugh if you request this room, as it is the most coveted room in all of DVC. The room is as big as a OKW 1 bdrm.

I've not stayed there...except in my dreams.
