We booked a Studio Boardwalk View - can you request a specific room # on your reservation or is that not allowed? Obviously, they can't guarantee it, but can a certain room be "noted?"

We are staying here for two nights because Hubs has always wanted to. Whenever we walk on the Boardwalk he always sees people sitting outside the rooms right above the restaurants/stores. I fear he will be unhappy if we get one of those rooms that just has a "glimpse" of the wood of the Boardwalk or something and not one of the ones "on" the actual Boardwalk.

Its never a good idea to request a specific room. The odds of that particular room being available when you check in are very, very slim. If its not available, then the room assigner doesn't know why you requested that room and won't be able to try to find something that might work for you. Instead, make a more general request like "Boardwalk view above the Big River Grill".

A Boardwalk view at BWV is a specific booking class, so if you are staying on points there and booked a Boardwalk view, you will have a room over the stores/restaurants to the right of the lobby (as you look from the boardwalk itself). If you are talking about the Inn portion, I am not familiar with their room classes, so someone else can answer that for you.

Request Village Green. That should get you looking out over the grassy area between BWV and BWI towards the lake and boat dock (like over the art store). Don't request a specific room number because they won't know what you want if the room is occupied and unavailable.

BWview is a booking category for points stays. If you paid cash, you won't get it. If you booked on points and got garden/pool or standard, you won't get it.

If you have a studio DVC points reservation with boardwalk view, you will be over the boardwalk. Village Green is pool/garden view except for one 1 bedroom at the end that is considered boardwalk view.
