Room request at WL

I have booked a Courtyard view. Should I make any requests in this to get the best view?

Yes, make sure you ask for an "inner" courtyard room. The "outter" rooms overlook the quiet pool & villa's. While a lovely view, I don't think it's worth the courtyard price. I think they need a new "class" for these rooms.

Good point, Kimberle! I keep forgetting about that!

I would also ask for a room on the 3rd 4th or 5th floor. Rooms on the 6th floor (and 7th...but those are just concierge) have enclosed balconies which you must stand at to see over. I prefer the "slatted balconies." You can sit and sip your coffee and absorb that gorgeous view!

If you really want to get technical...and I am not sure if they will be able to accomodate this request...ask to be in the "bear face." These are the rooms that are straight up from the lobby and look directly, straight out to the pool and then to the lake behind it. It is a beautiful view and also you get a perfect view of the Electric Water Parade that takes place every night at 9:35!!!
