Room rehab at POFQ

Has anyone seen an updated room yet at POFQ? I think they were working on building 1 first. We are staying there in November and I am dying to see what the new rooms will look like.

No. It looks like both Buildings 1 & 2 are being worked on. Both closed off.

According to the awesome site, https://www.portorleans.org/news.php, maintained by @andrewilley, they haven't opened up Building 1 yet. See the link for some details and pictures of demolition.

I was just coming on to ask that very question. It all seems very quiet with not much even being mentioned about whether it’s causing any disruption. We’re staying there in September and really keen to see the changes.

They are completely closing the buildings they're working on so wouldn't expect there to any type of disruption.

You hear some things like backup alarm beeping on weekdays and some paths are blocked off around Bldg 1 and 2 but little else except for the staging area next to 1.

We were going to stay here end of Aug/Sep but moved our reservation over to Swan. The construction was something I didn’t relish.

You are forgetting about a nice benefit. We just returned yesterday after a week there. Two of the seven building were closed. That's over a quarter fewer people at the resort to contend with. Fewer people trying to get on buses, crowding the quick service area, using the pool, etc.

It was actually an unexpected bonus.
