Room Ready Times at Jambo House....How have they been lately??

We are doing a split-stay in October and with the announcement of the Boo Bash dates, it looks like our "switch" day will coincide with our party day. That means that we will not be going to a park and only partaking in the party that evening. My plan right now is to try and get a breakfast ADR at Topolino's (wishful thinking, I know!) before we leave the Riviera. Then, we'll check out from our Riviera room by 11am and just relax and enjoy that resort. In the afternoon, we can Uber/Lyft with our luggage over to AKV and check in to our room at Jambo House. I plan to do online checkin, but I am curious what folks have been experiencing as far as when their rooms are ready. Has it consistently been before 4pm? Or should we be prepared to wait until 5 or 6 and plan on skipping a nap before the party?

We stayed at 1 bedroom at Jambo in May 2021. It was supposed to be a value but we were unexpectedly given a fantastic savanna view. Our room was ready at 2:30 pm. When we left Jambo, our 2 bedroom at VGF was ready at 7:30 am, well before we left Jambo.

Several times, when I've booked a value room, I have had a savanna view (4 of the 10 value 1BR's face the savanna, and 8 of the 18 value studios face the savanna) so I am not too worried about an "upgraded" view. The pool view is great too...I've had that one twice. If I am going to get an upgrade, I want to be moved to Kidani. I don't want/need a savanna or standard room at Jambo. I'd rather be at Kidani where everything is open. The value category is the ONLY reason I booked at Jambo. I will be OK with whatever we get...but I will admit, I will be a bit disappointed with one of the two parking lot views.

Glad to hear that the room was ready by 2:30. If that's a fairly standard time, we should have plenty of time to get a nap in before the party.

We were there recently and it was the first time we got a parking lot view value room.
I don't know what time the room was ready because I went to the desk at 4:00 to ask (we had groceries) and I was told the room had been ready. When I told them I didn't get a text , the woman said several people said that happened recently.
So, you might want to just ask if you don't get the text.

When you do online checkin for Jambo, put as your estimated arrival time something around (or a little earlier than) the time you think you’ll want to arrive at Jambo. We’ve had very good luck with rooms being ready early on “switch day” of a split stay. No guarantee, but most of the time our rooms have been ready before 4.
