In my contract FTW has given me a price for our room per night at CBR - if nearer the time I see a better price that beats the wedding discount rate they have given me can I cancel this price and go with the cheaper price while still keeping my room block and special requests? Hope that makes sense!

From what I was told by my SM, was if any of your guests find a cheaper rate, they can book with that rate and give you their reservation number. Then you will have to pass that on to your EM, etc... So it counts toward your room block.

Hope that helped!

Jamie's right. If your guests book a room in your room block, but then find a cheaper rate, as long as they pass along to you their new reservation number and you give that info to your EM, their new reservation will count towards your room block. But make sure they know that group reservations (who hold your room block) can't make reservations at the lower rate, and the general reservation line can't see the room block info. That confused some of my guests.

Hi, you most certainly WILL find cheaper rates than the "discounted" rates. go to www.mousesavers.com for the latest discounts. Like hmgolden and jamie0201 said, you just have to make sure you get your guests to give you the confirmation number so it can be counted as your room block! I am guessing that your wedding may be September 14, 2005 by your name, for example the all star is "wedding discounted" at $89 per night and you can get rooms for $49-55 in September!!! that saves your guests alot, they will be grateful if you direct them towards the discounts!! I hope your planning is going well! i am sending in my contract and deposit tomorrow!!!!!!princess:

Thanks everyone - that's great news! :bounce:
I have never used discount codes before but after looking at these boards I've noticed how much people get their room rates for with the discount codes so I will definitely be looking into this and keeping my eye on all the latest discount codes ....thanks!

icgymnast - yes, my wedding is Sept, 14th 2005, we sent our deposit and contract in about 4 weeks ago and then on Tuesday our guests received the 'Save the Date' letters (that was very exciting!) and then that same day I received an email from my wedding planner introducing herself to us - it's weird, you hear nothing for a while and then 2 big things happen in 1 day!:D

When is your wedding?
