Room preferences

I will be traveling to POR in September and have a bunch of random questions. When it comes to room preferences is there a charge for getting a preferred room, royal room or nemo room (I'm sure my DD would love this)? Also, is it best to ask for this now or wait till it gets closer to the date ?

The preferred rooms and royal rooms at POR are extra as they are bookable categories and are not requests. If you want one of these rooms, you would need to book it. Also, I think the Nemo rooms are at CBR, although I'm not sure if they are a bookable category or not.

Preferred and Royal Rooms are booking categories, so they are extra. There are also levels within RR's, like standard, garden view, courtyard view, and riverview.

Nemo is in AoA, not POR. AoA has their own thread.

You can see all the room rates and comparisons of the differences in cost between booking categories and seasons (i.e. peak, etc.) on the POR thread, page one; this website under resorts; allearsnet under resorts; and the Disney website. Seasons and days of the week also make a difference in nightly room rates.

When you make your reservation, you request the type of room you want. You are charged accordingly.

I believe this is the cost -

Preferred room (Alligator Bayou - nearest 3 buildings to the main building)
Add $25 to $30 per night above standard
Water view or King room - same price as Preferred

Courtyard view - Add $10 per night

Royal room - Add $30 to $40 per night

Nemo rooms are at Caribbean Beach, not at POR
