Room Preference - Rates of Success at AoA

We are going to AoA in a few weeks and staying in the LM section. I hear that the distance from the main building can be pretty far depending on the building you end up with. I selected "close to transportation" and "near stairs" as my first and second choices and I wonder how successful you all have been in Disney assigning you a room that meets your preference request through DME.

I know you can follow up with a fax (?) to the resort ahead of your stay but I am just curious about those who did not follow up with the fax. I am curious about those who just requested through DME and the outcomes.

All of the buildings are "pretty far" from the main building. Disney consider all of them as equally "near" transport, given that AOA has only one bus stop.

Realistically, buildings 7 and 9 are slightly "better" for distance to Animation Hall, and 8 is the one that is furthest out.

This is what I figured too, so in order to get building 7 or 9 on the right side, I was hoping that choosing to be near transportation or near stairs might work. I'm sure it's a crapshoot but it can't hurt to try.

The check boxes online are generic. They aren't customized to resort, generally speaking. If you want building 7 or 9, your better bet is to call the Reservations line and make a SPECIFIC request. Because the requests for online check in are generic and apply to the whole resort regardless of room type or even if the request is sane in any way, always call the more specific requests in.

Yes. The agent needs to put it in, theoretically.
