Room Payment Question??

DH and I are going to ASMO in 10 days with another couple. We are all staying in one room to save money. My question is: Will I be able to put half of the room on my credit card and the other couple put the other half on theirs? I am using my AP discount to get the room, I'm not sure if that would matter or not.

I'm pretty sure you can't do this. I think you can only have one credit card for the entire party.

You probably could split the charge for the room on 2 cards, specifying how much on each card. The room is charged immediately when you arrive. Another thing you could do is call in advance and give the two credit card #'s and the amount to charge on each. Then the room is paid for in advance.

If you want to charge on the room key during your stay, they will set it up to one credit card. However, you could split the charges any pay them off the night before checkout and tell them how much to apply to each card. Otherwise, on checkout morning they will charge it to the one card.

Two couples in one room? I hope you are close friends or family. I don't even want to share a moderate room with 3 friends, we got 2 rooms.

Yes, you can.

My SIL called CRO with the ressie number and put her total on her card. I then called a week later and paid the remainder of it with my card.

No problems. I don't see why the front desk couldn't do that for you too. But if you are concerned, call with the other persons CC # and pay their part tomorrow.
