Room openings at BCV

Does anybody know why there are suddenly a lot of nights available in August for studios? I have been obsessively checking the room availability tool and no nights have been available in months, today almost all of August is available.

We just noticed this, too! Just switched to a 1BR at BCV for our first 6 nights. Had to keep VWL for the last 2, but super excited to get our home resort on short notice. We just closed on our DVC resale and switched from a cash ressie to points. Maybe it has to do with the refurb going on there?

I added two nights, we have never stayed there before and we are so excited.

Maybe DVC released rooms held for rehab and/or the RAT is incorrect, it has been giving false info recently.

Probably released some refurbed room back into inventory. This happened to me a few months ago while waiting for a standard 1 bedroom at BLT. I had lost all hope, then one night I checked and the entire month was available. I booked it and cancelled my waitlist (which didn't grab it right away). Right after I booked it my week was gone, so I assumed only one room had come back into inventory. I also worried it was a glitch, but it wasn't.

I just booked 2 nights at the end of August today. I was checking availability to see of HH was available at OKW to move our reservation there then I noticed BCV was available! I jumped on the phone right away and changed my 2 night pre-cruise stay from OKW to BCV so I can finally check out the pool!

Our waitlist came through today for the first night of our split stay; October..! Guess "a lot of folks" cancelled because of the renovation... LOVE Stormalong Bay; looking forward to our one night there..."just hanging" at the resort that day!

Yay! Our waitlist just came through today for our stay there in January. It's during Marathon weekend, and we really wanted to stay there, primarily because we thought it would be more convenient for me spectating as well as for DH getting back after the races. He's running the Dopey, so that's 4 race endings. The only thing is, regarding the refurb, since he's running so early in the morning, I imagine he'll want to sleep during the day, so it better not be noisy! I really hope all the work's done by then.

We just had a waitlist release for the first full week in October! We are renting points and it will save us $800 for the trip. I never expected any dates during F&W to open at the BCV. We are happy to save and still be at the BC.

I have been stalking the website for months for just 1 night, Friday the 13th of November. It is the last Friday during F&W. I have been baffled by this because I have found availability for that night in every category over at BWV, and it seemed odd that BWV would have frequent openings, but not BCV. In any event, it came through for me yesterday. Now I have a reservation from November 13-22nd all in a 1 bedroom at BCV! I am pretty excited, as this is the first trip in 2 years that I will not have to switch resorts at any point. Woot woot!
