Room Only

If I were to book room only through Disney itself, I could use AAA. We are planning on going August of 2007 to ASMo. If next year they would offer free dining again, could I just add the package at that time (I understand that NO discount would be given for AAA) or would I have to cancel the room only and make an entirely new reserveration?

It may just be my opinion but I would book through AAA travel. If the free dining comes out you won't have to worry about if you will have to cancel and re-book. If no free dining comes out but you choose to add dining you could do that and keep your discount. It is the most flexible option.

I had to cancel and re-book 3 times because I didn't understand the nuances of AAA/discounts/packages and all that jazz. Thanks to the dis I get it now, wish I had found this place first.
