I had a LM at AofA booked for November. Called today and changed to December.

No rooms at AofA/LM available, so I changed to CBR.

Disney agent made the change, but said my final balance was due November 23 (which was my original check-in date). I said that in the past, my balance was always due on check-in date, which now would be December 27. She said she could not change the balance due date, because I was making a "revision", and that my balance was STILL due on November 23.

I questioned her about it, but she was not budging, said my balance due was still November 23. We argued about this for a couple of minutes.

I asked to speak to a supervisor, and she said she would contact Guest Services and ask about changing the balance due date. Came back on the phone in a minute, and said balance due date was December 27.

So all is well, but I couldn't figure out why she couldn't change the date. I've made room only reservations many times, and even some revisions to the dates and resorts, and never ran into this before. So am wondering why she argued (or it seemed like she was arguing), about this.

This is more of a curiosity question, than anything else.

With the last "upgrade" to the reservations system the phone CMs are not allowed to change the balance due date when you push back a trip. As you found out, Guest Services has to override it and change the date.

Oh, I didn't not realize that. That makes sense.
Not sure why she didn't just check with GS when I first started questioning her about it.

Good to know...can you tell me, when was the latest upgrade? Curious to when this started.
