Room only reservations are fully refundable, right?

I thought that I remembered reading somewhere that room only reservations are fully refundable up until a week before your trip or something like that. They charge you one night's reservations at time of booking, I believe. So I'm assuming that you would get refunded for that night if you cancel the trip. Correct?

Yes, fully refundable as long as you cancel at least 5 days from arrival. Packages must be canceled at least 45 days from arrival.

Yes, room only are fully refundable as long as you cancel at least 5 days prior to your check in date. Per Disney:


Cancellation Policy


In order to receive a full refund of your deposit, notification of cancellation must be received at least 5 days prior to your arrival date. To cancel or modify an existing reservation, call (407) 939-7429 .

Is this true for rooms booked under a Run Disney discount as well? I booked a room only for the TOT 10 miler, beginning my stay on Oct. 4.
I am also eligible for military discounts, but the current promotion ends in September. If they end up extending (or creating a new) the military discount, it's likely they won't announce until mid August or so... will I be able to cancel the Run Disney room and use the military promotion instead?

What are the terms and conditions of the Run Disney reservation? They should be the same as the standard room resevation cancellation policy... unless it's some type of package (room and tickets) in which case you're subject to tge package cancellation penalty.

The weird thing about the rundisney rooms is that they are actually packages. Did you get your mailed invoice after making the reservation?

Because we have APs, she made our TOT "package" by putting in minigolf "tickets". Said if I called back to add tickets, they would take those out of the package. But it's still a package (and I could have included dining if I wanted).

So on the back of my mailed invoices (got one showing the deposit due, then another showing the deposit that I paid at the time of booking) they have the full legal info. And for my TOT rundisney POR "package" it shows that I need to pay in full on 8/20 (which is different from a room-only reservation).

If I cancel 44 days or less before arrival, I'll give up the $200 I paid in deposit. If I cancel before final payment is due, I get the $200 back unless there was vacation insurance, etc.


Is any of that how things were explained to you when you called, or when you got your invoice if you got one?
