"Room Only" question

I am going to book a "room only ressie" for the first night of our package stay because we really won't need the park tickets and silver plan perks that first night(So, I figure why not save some money)

My dilemma is this---I want to book the 1 room only night and the rest of our vacation at the same time.
We normally just use our bank debit card for deposit payment, but the limit on those is 1,000 per day.
My deposit amount for the two transactions will be over 1,000 since I am adding airfare and that has to be paid in full immediately.

So, when I book a room only, does the deposit have to be made immediately, or can I make it within 7 days?

Or, could I book the room only, and the package without the airfare, and then call back the next day or so to add airfare on and pay its price then?

Have I confused you yet?

We have done this on all of our trips - booking a package with a room only for the first night. Each time, we only pay one deposit because they link the two reservations together. I have never had to pay two deposits. I am wondering if that is going to change though because I have always had the Disney Club card and they had some different rules. I would ask the CM about it though.

You also can call your bank and have your limit raised for that transaction, at least you can do that at Wachovia. I didn't realize that my debit card had a limit until I tried to pay for five APs in 2002. When I called to complain, I was told that I could have called and got it authorized or had it processed as two transactions. They also offered to raise it and I decided to keep it where it is.
