Room Only Discount Question

I'm not sure if this is the best place for this post but its the one that makes the most sense to me.

Last month my mom and I decided to use credits we had for Southwest and the room only offer Disney was doing for this month to book a girls weekend for this upcoming weekend. My mom booked us at a value and now that we are a few days out, she has been debating upgrading to WL because we haven't stayed there since the mid 90s and she loves it.

My question is if she calls to upgrade, would they be able to keep the discount that we booked under or would we lose it since it expired on December 31st? Additionally, if we get to keep it, would it be the value discount or would they give us the deluxe one that was available?

I don't know. How is that for an answer? lol. Why doesn't your mother call and ask them? If you are allowed to upgrade to WL and use the PIN, the discount should be for the WL instead of the % for the value resort.

I have seen reports in the past for people that have made changes on a PIN, after the PIN was expired, because their original booking was made before expiration. However, if you are changing a few days out, there may be a change fee attached.

Also, it will depend on the rules being implemented for your particular PIN.

I really have found the best thing to do is call and see what they can do for you.

I just realized you may be talking about a general public room only offer, in that case the answer is probably not, but it never hurts to call and ask.

A $50 change fee usually only applies if the cost is lower than what you originally booked. Like the PP said, your mother should call.

Yes, you can upgrade to the WL with the discount, provided there is availability at the WL under that promo. Since regular reservation CMs don't usually have access to expired promos, you will most likely have to speak to someone in Guest Services as they would be the ones to make the change. Good luck.
