There wasn't a GP free dining during that time in 2008, but there was a free dining offer for Disney Visa Cardholders.

I know that. We took advantage of it. But it was never released to everyone without a DV. And it didn't become available until mid-September.

I really think the room discounts are coming. They will probably be scaled back slightly but will still be there. I'm hoping to shave a bit off the $135 RO rate we have at the POP in December.

I hope that you are right... I hate paying $500+ rack rate at Poly! I'll do it if I have to... but I'd much rather spend my money on everything else Disney!!!

You will most likely be waiting until May 2012, long way off yet. These would be thru the end of 2011.

Actually there is something new on the website -- it's not working correctly.

I pulled up my dates and clicked on Deluxe and it told me Nothing is available in that category. Same for Deluxe Villas. Nothing. Not a single room. There was plenty of availability this morning.

Then I clicked on Moderates and it gave me POR and AKL.

Edit: If I select a specific resort (i.e., YC) it shows up just fine. It's only if I select the Deluxe or Deluxe Villa category that it shows no availability.

We just paid off our trip today! Yippee! We first booked with the Rack rate back in May so we could make our dining reservations at 180+10 days out. We then jumped on the free dining bandwagon in early August and saved ourselves about 600 dollars. Then the 30% discount code for the Poly was released last week and that saved us another 250 on top of the free dining savings. Now that our trip is all paid all we have to do it wait!

Sorry, I wasn't clear on that one -- there is no discount. I was just commenting on the fact that the website is not working -- again!

When I said nothing was showing up, I don't mean with a discount. I mean nothing at all under rack rate.
