Anyone have any inside information on whether room-only codes will be offered for WDW resort stays in January '04 (value season) for non-FL residents?

Also, are room-only codes always issued after AP codes, and would I be chancing it to pass on AP codes for January '04 (typically issued in October-November) to wait on room-only codes that may never come this year? Although in past years it seems like room-only codes have typically been issued for Jan. value season, I haven't seen WDW issue room-only codes for a while.

:) :) :)

This is exactly what I am waiting (and hoping) for. A few days ago, another poster said that a CM (I think at CRO) said that they should be posting room-only codes for January around the middle of October. Whi knows? I'm hoping! I would LOVE to save some money. It does seem that their room-only codes are a little less frequent then they used to be. Perhaps it is because the travel industry is improoving.

I'm here hoping for those darn codes with you.
Maybe if we think happy thought (like in Peter Pan)...........

I'm looking for the same thing...room only code for January. I got a pretty good rate through SOG overflow for the AKL Savanah, but hope that the AP or room only codes could be better.

I am thinking the AP discounts codes for January did not come out until late October, maybe early November last year.
These codes is what will determine if we renew our AP's or not.

Hi! I'm a little confused... Is there a difference between Room-Only codes and AP Rates? I have WL booked -room only- with a AAA rate for Jan 1-6 and I'm waffling on whether or not I'll keep them if there are no AP rates. Maybe a room-only code will bring the price down also?
Thanks in advance for your advice! :wave2:

I believe the term "room only" code refers to a code open to the general public (for room only vs. pkg) as opposed to "AP rate" which obviously is available to AP holders only but it is also for room only vs. pkg.

Does that make sense?

The difference between room only codes and Annual Passholder (AP) codes is that you must buy an Annual Pass to get the AP rate, but if room-only codes are issued, you don't need to buy the Annual Pass. If you are not frequently visiting WDW, the room-only codes are less cost due to the expense of buying the Annual Pass to get the discounted resort rates.
