Room only codes coming????

Mississippi, too. It is not that bad a drive from South Mississippi and there are never codes for us. If there is not a room only code next summer we will not be going. FTP will not work for us even if it was offered next summer.

What have the offers been for the WDW Visa? I might consider getting one just to get the discount and then cancelling it when I get back.

The Disney Visa room only codes were for FL residents through 10/01. Mod for $79 or WL for $119. The values were $49. Some of the other deluxes did not seem as good as they can be, so I did not write them all down.

I think the Mickey Monitor is available on-line to anyone. Just type in "Mickey Monitor" in search box. You have to have AP to use codes though.

Seems like I'm in the same boat as everyone else!

For my first trip to WDW, I got an AP this past February. Then, I planned a 2 week trip for January for my parent's first trip to WDW.

Going through severe Disney withdrawals in the April, I got this bright idea that I could squeeze enough out of my budget to fit in my second trip to WDW and first solo trip for the end of August - if there were room discounts.

Of course, I already got the plane tickets, so I have to go, but the difference between staying on site and off depends on if there are any room only discounts!

My husband and I sooooo want to use our APs one last time before they expire in December and we thought a short trip during the Food & Wine Fest would be perfect. But....I'm sad to say we probably will not go without AP discounts

I'm hoping with the rest of you that we will see some soon!

It just seems like yesterday when I was going through this for my May '03 trip and the discounts never did come through after watching the boards daily for weeks. I called today and booked 2 rooms at BWI and 2 rooms at CBR at regular rates for the two week period before Thanksgiving. The reservationist did tell me to keep my eyes open for the possibility of upcoming discounts. But I believe they told me that last spring also. I know last spring we took turns calling so as not to irritate them with a lot of inquiries. Maybe we could start doing that again as I don't believe our begging affects their decision making much after my last go round.

I was watching the boards pretty intently, waiting for August discounts, sweating it out too, especially when FTP made its grand entrance! (Wishing we had planned our trip for June like we usually do )

IMHO, I think there will still be AP rates available. If they're offering them for the peak summer season, especially with FTP now, I believe they will offer them for a slower time of year. Room only codes may be a little harder to come by...

We had our reservations at the BWI and to the best of my knowledge, no AP discounts were available there for the time we were staying there. I think they offered them for some other resorts, but we had been spoiled with AP rates there each time we had stayed at the BWI previously. I think it is hard to pay a lot more for a room once you have gotten some terrific rates in the past.

I'm having a very difficult time making reservations without codes. I can't believe that they didnt come out with something for those of us loyal disboarders. I'm still holding out hope I still have 3 more weeks.

I just REALLY hope us loyal followers get a discount!

I check daily waiting to tell my friend who would like 3 rms at the CR tower for Sept..if any codes have come out.....Dh and i usually go to the WL on a code in Dec. ...we will see...

Doesn't Disney realize that those of us that come at least once (maybe more) will start thinking about other alternatives. I realize that FTP was great for some but what about those of us that also go to the beach we spend several days at WDW we just break it up so FTP didn't help us.
