Room ONLY code for Jan. 2007

I'm having a tough time getting the night I want on an AP rate, so I think room only codes are a real long shot at this point. I don't know what the deal is, whether they're truly booked solid or they have rooms blocked for events.

Its very slim pickins even at rack rate for Jan. 13th. I guess I shouldn't have put off booking so long!

Well it looks like there will be no code for us. However, we are staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter Jan 21-27. I CAN'T wait!!!!!!

That is a holiday weekend, so would explain why it's booked then. We choose to arrive the end of the month to avoid that timeframe. While that whole week won't be crowded, that weekend will be.

Just decided to go for my birthday!! Yeah!! Has anyone heard of any last minute deals? We will be there Jan 25-29th. Thanks

I'm sure this is not the place for this post but are ya'll packing mostly shorts/short sleeves for your Jan. trip? It doesn't look like we'll need pants/long sleeves for the day.

Just curious! I want to be prepared without packing everything but the kitchen sink! lol

I was wondering what to pack too. we will be going to the pirate and princess party one night and I have cute PofC short outfits that they wore on the Disney Cruise but I'm afraid the nights could be too cold. Anyone have any advice?

I would definitely pack for cool nights. We went a number of years ago in early Feb. You definitly will want to change into pants and have sweatshirts availble and maybe thin gloves.

Found a weather report for our first day (the 21st). They are only predicting a high of 61 & low 46. Burrr! Where's the warmer weather? :beach: I was hoping for shorts!

party: Oh well only 14 days to go!! :jumping1:

This will be our fifth trip in the Jan/Feb. time period. I pack half our clothes warm weather with shorts and short sleeves and half for cooler weather that we can layer. I usually use a little of both types of clothes. Now last year we had incredible weather and we ONLY used our summer clothes even for nights! But that was the exception be prepared for all types of weather.

This is our fourth year in a row going late January or early February and warm clothes are a must. You might get a warm day, but generally it only gets warm during the afternoon while the sun is out. In the AM and esp. evening....it can get cold. Last year we had a couple of days of sun, but the year before I had to do laundry because we were running out of sweats to wear. I now pack my gloves and hat for the evening and have been glad I do. We will be there the first week of Feb this year and have an idea of what I'll be packing but will wait until I see the 15 day forecast first and be prepared to switch out at the end. No matter what the weather, it will still be warmer than home. I agree, layers are a must so you can peal some off, then put them back when the sun goes down.
