I get a bit disappointed everytime a room only code comes out and I make a call right away. Much to my surprise....NO AVAILABILITY! How is that possible? I know it could be, but come on? I really wanted WL and NOTHING! The young CM said to just keep trying, but I've been through this before. Oh well, just wanted to vent. :confused3

I've heard WL is one of the best x-mas (Dec) resorts, that could be a problem .. we had an issue getting any discounts during October if that makes you feel any better, we managed to snag two days only though at the end of our trip after two weeks of checking. Keep checking, you never know, check every morning though as thats the best time. We saw WL open for our whole trip but ... we waited until afternoon and it was gone.

The Wilderness Lodge is extremely popular during the holidays. They don't need to offer discounts during this time. The codes are only for rooms they are trying to get filled.

To be honest I was suprised that I was able to use the code for the Poly during Thanksgiving. When the package deals came out, I called the day after the VISA deal came out and nothing available. I called at 7am when the general code came out. Nothing available. So I'm not sure how or why there was a room only code, but I'm glad there was.

OK, so what if you already have a ressie and a code comes out? Will they give it to you?

As stated not every room in the resort will be discounted.

The discounts are subject to availibility. Some resorts will not have many discounts at all when they are released due to the fact that rooms are already booked and no need to discount them.

One other thing to remember that I just found out, is that the room only code may not be that much of a savings. I booked a 1bdrm villa @ the BC in March with AAA and nothing has touched that price. Ap price was only $50 cheaper but had to pay more for Ap. Now the room only codes came out and they are $100 more than what I am paying with AAA. So now I will stick with AAA and be happy. :cool1:

Question...are the discounted rooms usually in an undesireable location??
