Room Only Changes

I have always done packages in the past, but we are probably doing room only this time due to my work paying for the room. My questions...10 Can you make payments on rooms like you do on packages? 2) If we pay the room in full at booking(assuming they allow that), can we appy discounts as they come out? thanks for the info!

When you book a room only reservation, you only pay for one night up front. You can pay the balance at check in. I am sure they won't mind if you pay it off early, though.

If a discount comes out and they have availabilty for that discount at your resort, you can just call to have it applied.

We've only ever done room only (love the flexibility) you can cancel with full refund up to 6 days prior AND keep looking for discounts as any reservation can be modified at any time without a cancel/re-do!

Just remember that , with room only, you cannot make payments online...you have to call to make a payment.

Yes, you can make payments on a room only ressie. As the pp said, you have to call as you can't make room only payments online. If a discount comes out and is available for your dates/resort, all you have to do is call and have it applied.

We've done room only for this trip coming up soon and had it paid off 2 mos ago. I phoned and did monthly payments.
It would be nice if WDW had the option to pay online for room only too!

I calculated the cost of DDP and put that ammount aside, and will get a gift card with the amount we would have paid for DDP on it. Should be interesting to see if we break even or pay less not having the DDP. We still have ADRs each night, except our arrival night.
