I have booked a room only night for the Saturday we arrive at PC and then the Dreammaker package for the next several nights. Has anyone else done this? I am wondering about check in on the Sunday morning. Will I be able to use my package benefits this day? How early can I check in, I wonder if I will be able to plan a day at a park. My TA said I might have to switch rooms.

We did this at the Polynesian a few years ago. Basicly, the day your package starts, just go to the front desk as early as 7AM and they'll take care of everything for you. Have a great trip!

We did the exact same thing last year at the Port Orleans French Quarter. Make sure the fact you have a subsequent reservation (and it's number) is noted in the request section of your first reservation. I faxed a request 3 days out with both reservation numbers and asking to not need to move (both reservations were for the same room type). When we checked in the CM noted that I would not need to move rooms only re-check in (and get my UPH tickets and other package items). She said it was very useful when people included reservation numbers for "continuing" reservations.

I went and checked out/in at 6:20 am the next morning (that way we could use the UPH tickets and EE at the Magic Kingdom). A word of warning - once you checkout the initial room keys don't work - this caught my husband off guard luckily DD age 7 opened the door for him.

The re-check in is no different than arriving at 7 am for a long drive or early flight.
