Hey everybody,

We have a 1 bedroom booked at OKW the week before Christmas, our first time to stay at this resort. We are there for 7 nights, but booked the first night (Sat)and the last night (Friday)through CRO paying cash, and the middle 5 nights through the weekdays are booked through DVC buying points from some friends who are members. DVC and CRO both have all the reservation numbers and we've requested they be tied together so we don't have to hop rooms all week. I understand this is noted but not guaranteed. Anyone have experience with this type of situation and were you moved? Any tips on minimizing this happening? I can't imagine having to move after our first night and on our last night. What a bummer! Thanks.

I don't have any experience with this, but I would certainly make sure to mention it again on checkin. I think they would not move you unless it was absolutely necessary.

In this case, the probability of having to change rooms is very high unless you are proactive.

Do not - let me stress that again - DO NOT assume that CRO will take of this. Anytime you have one reservation through CRO and another throuogh DVC, you are open to problems. Each will blame the other for any screwups.

Five days prior to your arrival, send a fax to the room assigner at OKW (407-827-7710). Tell them the whole situation just as you have explained it in your post above. Stress that you have continuing reservations and would like to remain in the same room. Make sure you include all three confirmation numbers in your letter.

While there are no guarantees, you will have a far, far better chance of not moving by doing this.
