Which is the best room location to have on the ship, Aft, forward or midship? I am on deck 7. Which of these locations would you feel the least amount of movement?

Some people say that the higher your deck and more centered you are (Decks 6, 7, or 8 midship), the less movement you feel. Some people swear by the lower decks. I think generally speaking midship is a good bet. We've been only Deck 7 midship and forward. We personally prefer forward because (being kid-less), we are closer to the forward stairs which in turn is closer to the things we love the most: The Spa, Quiet Cove Pool (and bar), and the Nightlife district (Beat Street/Route 66). Next cruise, we are still forward but Deck 6.

I have to say you feel more motion in the forward section of the ship.

I totally agree -- We noticed that, too. We were laughing so hard our last night onboard because we had some rough seas and couldn't walk a straight line in our room because of the movement. God bless anyone suffering from too much booze that night! But we'll be going back for more in the forward section in December just because of the proximity to our favorite places.

I would take midship or forward over aft. Aft is too far away from the fun for us.
