Room location request issue

First time using precheck in. I checked us in and picked from the drop down box. I went back to check on it and the first request didn't take. I clicked on edit and chose what I wanted and saved and it still doesn't show up. Have tried a few days in a row. Does anyone know how to remedy this issue. We are doing a few different deferent resorts on this long trip and I have the same issue on most of the reservations. Thank you.
 
Call the main reservation line at 407-WDISNEY. They'll put your request on your reservation.
 
Mine is doing the same thing - but mine has selections that I did not put! I have tried to edit it for about a week! I called Disney, but I got my room from Jet Blue Vacations and apparently the Disney cast members can not alter my reservation at all. So they suggested I call Jet Blue. So I did .. They dont even have access to room requests. Argghhh. So I am just going to hope for the best! I hope you have better luck!

If you book using a travel agency or 3rd party they are the ones that control the reservation. Disney is right, you can't do anything, unfortunately.
 
Thanks everyone. I always book through Disney and, in the past have called in with my requests. I may try that and see if they can assist. My main point is to try to stay away from parking lot views if possible. I will still try online every few days and see if anything takes.
 
Same problem here ! I booked online and somehow have a room request I never made, don't want, can't change or delete. I called two weeks ago yesterday and the CM couldn't fix it and put me through to IT but after waiting 38 minutes on hold for IT I gave up and emailed. Got the auto response that they would contact me within 7 days and never got a response- followed up after 10 days and still haven't heard back.

I "think" my request will be pretty easy to get and I know its just a request but it is still a bit frustrating.

I waited on hold yesterday for IT for about 45 minutes & I finally gave up. I also emailed but dont expect a response.

I'm in the same boat. My 2nd request is saved but not my first :( I hope they can fix the issue in the next 43 days before we leave so I can fix it.
 
Potentially bypassing the entire check-in at the resort. Have had trips I never even saw the hotel lobby.

So online check-in you go straight to your room? We went last year to pop and checked in at the lobby and we were talking about how it was our anniversary and they upgraded us to a preferred king bed room for free! Would this be possible with online check-in?

Yes, most (not all) will get an email stating they will receive a text/email when their room is ready with their room number.

There is the theory that upgrades initiated by Disney have nothing to do with online vs at front desk. But you are saying that you were upgraded because they gave you some anniversary pixie dust at the front desk, no that would not happen with online check in. There are very few rooms at POP that have Kings, it is just a request. King rooms don't cost any more, but a preferred would cost more than a standard. You can put in a request for a King room there, and it might happen with online but only if available.

I hated online at first feeling I couldn't discuss my room location if it wasn't good. After multiple visits not getting what I requested and not being offered a new room after I asked at the desk, I figured I had nothing to lose ... so did online checkins. Only the last trip was I disappointed to get a room "view" completely opposite that I requested but I let it go because I got my "section", usually it has worked out well. My friend made the same request and got the lake view but not the section. So we each got a request, just not the same one.

And to make matters worse my MB did not work. This has become a bigger problem than anything to have my MB not work on room door. About every other trip now one of us has a non-working MB. So we have to go to the desk.
 
You could try calling a week before arrival. I think the 3rd party agency releases the reservation 7-10 days before arrival. Worse case, at check in if you haven't gotten the location you wanted, you could ask them if there is a possibility of getting your request. You may have to wait till later in the day depending on what time you arrive. Or be willing to move rooms the next day to get what you want. Our last stay at Poly I got the building I wanted, but no balcony. It was a 2 week stay, and balcony was most important to me. They could give me what I wanted the next day. Since we had a long stay it was worth it to us to move.
