I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what is the best floor and location to request at Cypress Point - not GV. We will be there in June. Ideally, we would like to be close to the pool and have a nice view. We have a 3 bedroom, if it makes any difference. I know there aren't elevators, but the stairs wouldn't really bother us. The location/view is more important than the floor. Any thoughts?

Also, how do I let them know what our preference is? I booked through HotelKingdom and I noted it on the form, but from what I've read, HK doesn't actually pass that info on to CP very often. Any sugestions?

Has anybody ever had any luck actually getting their requests honored here?

We just stayed for one night at each end of a DVC stay. I requested first floor, and pool or non parking lot view. The first night we checked in around 6:30pm and got a third floor with parking lot view but close to the volcano pool. The second night we checked in just before 4 pm and got a first floor in building 8 which was away from the pool, but had great landscaping outside the lanai area. I liked that one a lot more. So I guess it depends on when you can get there to check in.

I'm curious about this too! I did put my request in the comments section on my hotelkingdom form but if it doesn't get passed on to CP then perhaps I should call. Anybody have advice on this?

We were there a few weeks ago & booked through Hotel Kingdom. I put a request in (via HK) for 1st floor. About 2 weeks prior to my arrival, I called CP and asked for a non-parking lot view. They stated that most CP rooms have a parking lot view, so that would be difficult to grant.

We received a 1st floor, parking lot view.

In retrospect, I would have preferrred a 3rd floor room because the front bedroom (in a 3 bedroom unit) is directly underneath the stairs and right next to the garbage container. We were constantly woken up by people going up & down the stairs as well as putting their garbage in the container. Since there aren't stairs above the 3rd floor rooms (I don't know if there are garbage containers on the 3rd floor, but I don't think so), I think these rooms would be quieter.

Of course, you have to be willing to run the steps, but since we live in a 2 story house we are used to running up 1 flight all the time (so what's a 2nd flight????)

My opinion....

we stayed in building 6 at cp last june it was across the street from the volocan pool both sides have parking lot and thru ways we requested 3 rd floor and got it e-mail if you want any information ::MickeyMo

Hi, we just came back from CP on the 27th. I requested a 1st floor unit (3 bdr) in the comments box on Hotelkingdom. I also requested the same when confirming with CP directly. Well we checked in at 9:30 pm and guess what. Yep, we got the 3rd floor parkinglot view.(with tons of luggage and bags of groceries) I have bad knees. Rm 6304. It was very quiet and no there weren't any trash bins upstairs. It was very tiring to walk all those stairs after long days in the park. I will tell you once we were in for the night no one went downstairs for anything. Nothing else was available in any of the buildings. It took away a little of the CP excitement I had been feeling. :confused3 So be prepared you may not get what you want.
