So with magic bands being used as room keys now, would it still be possible to get a normal key card. We would like to give one to our babysitter so she can take the kids to the pool. She isn't staying with us at the hotel so she won't have her own magic band.

Wont she have the kids with her? Use one of their magic bands to open the door!

Sorry should have been more clear. Kids are both under three so no they won't have bands either.

Everyone gets a magicband including the LOs. So they will have bands too.

Oh ok I just assumed since they were infants they wouldn't have bands. My mistake. Thx for setting me straight!

They won't have park tickets since they are under three and free. So they don't need their bands for the park right? Or do they need a park ticket to be able to use fastpass+? Now I'm all confused...

We just returned and saw tons of toddlers with the bands on, but I don't think there was any real reason for them to have one. They should not need it to get into the park, or FP and of course no charging. You may want to be sure that the band is activated and will open the room door. DS7's band would not charge but he did need if for his ticket, PF and it would open the door. Just clarifying that you have your own sitter along as resort sitters can not do water activities.
