I know I read this somewhere before, but what is the best advice for carrying around room keys/express passes? We leave in 6 days!:cool1:

They sell the lanyards throughout the parks for $7.95 plus tax which are themed to the various US / IOA characters. You can find them cheaper at your local office supply stores and sometimes even at the dollar store.

just a tip:

when you buy your lanyard, buy one with a sturdier strap.

the thing ones are very light and flop around on your chest a lot.

stay away from the cheap plastic sleeve on the lanyard.

I also used Lanyard following the advice. And I was very happy.I attached a pouch to my lanyard to keep few $$ and some small handy things like band-aids etc (my kids used them twice). And don't forget to get your HTL keys punched at the front desk.

I can't wear a lanyard if it's really hot and or humid...it really gets on my nerves in the heat. :rolleyes1

;)

I would think so. I don't know why you would need to get them punched. :confused3

What`s punched??

Don`t know what it is so probably have never had it done!

guests can go to the front desk or concierge lobby desk and have a hole punched in their room key or ticket.

then put the room key or park ticket on a necklace/etc, and have your hands free, pockets free.

i have seen many have their hotel key punched and worn around the neck on a necklace or lanyard.

Of course it is :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I think I have brain fade tonight :headache:

Thank you.

Why you may want to punch a hole in key is already answered above.

My husband had it around his neck. But I also don't like it around my neck.So I took the string apart and used the hook only and hung it on the loop of my shorts which made it very easy to use them for express everytime.Worked very well for me.

If someone still need more clarification, I can attach a picture.

That's my whole group too. The last thing you want in the heat is something heavy and/or thick hanging around your neck. That is why we get the front desk to hole punch our keys. We use a very thin lanyard string and don't use a pouch at all to keep the weight off. They don't sell these thinner strings in the parks. I found them at a school supply store here in town. You really don't know they are there. Regular lanyards - forget it! Here's a pick of what we use -

Ours aren't heavy at all and we just put them in our shirts when we ride smething like the hulk. Plus we can put ticket one side, room key other side, and cash/id inside the two.
