I hope I am posting this in the right area but I was wondering about whether or not you can charge your meals at the WDW restaurants on your room key . I know you can put your credit card on the key but I didn't know if you can use it for the meals? Thanks for any information.

Yes, meals can be charged to your room key, if you have set it up with charging privledges.

Just also be aware that your room key has a total limit on it that is usually set at $500. Just check if you think you are getting close before you get to a restaurant and they reject it. The resort will raise it once you ask them to.

charge at the non Disney restaurants like Ran Forest in DTD. It's a slightly different process. They will have to run your card again after the tip is added.

Charge limits are different at the different resort levels (Value, Mod, Deluxe). You can go to the front desk and payoff what is on your room charge to clear it for more use at anytime during your stay.

OP, you can charge to your room on your KTTW card (Key to the World) anything from meals, snacks, pins, and mickey ears.

Charge limits vary according to resort category.

Value resort limit is $500

Moderate resort limit is $1000

Deluxe resort limit is $1500.

This is a way of life for us! We go in large groups with only a couple of the adults being the "financiers" so to speak. but we split up often. it would be hard to have everyone taken care of and able to pay for their food without their room keys.
