Room Key (KTTK)

We have a family trip to WDW coming up in a few months. We will have one 2BR and two studios. We plan to use the living room area of the 2BR as a gathering and eating location. 4 Questions:

1) Will they give me extra keys to the 2BR so folks can get in easy or am I limited to 8 keys?

2) We will have an infant with us in the 2BR which actually brings us to 9 in the 2BR. Does he get a key?

3) If we set our credit card to the room key for charging items, can kids' keys be set so they can't charge?

4) There will be 2 separate families in the 2BR, each covering their own expenses. As I recall, if we have charging set up on the keys, then everybody's charges go to the same credit card. We can't assign different credit cards for different people. Is that correct?

Everyone registered for the villa will get a key with their name on it. I don't think they will provide additional keys, but you can certainly ask at arrival.

2) We will have an infant with us in the 2BR which actually brings us to 9 in the 2BR. Does he get a key?

I don't think children under 3 will get a key.

3) If we set our credit card to the room key for charging items, can kids' keys be set so they can't charge?

Yes, individual keys may be set without charge privileges. We always do that when we have grandchildren traveling with us.

It the DVC Annual Meeting they announced that DVC resorts would start allowing multiple credit cards for each villa beginning in 2010. I'm not sure if that is in place yet but definitely ask. If not, you can manage it since the itemized room statement will be organized by the unique ID# on each KTTW card and can be paid using different cards at checkout. We usually go to the desk the last night and get that all straightened out.

2 years ago when we went down we couldnt get a grandvilla so ended up doing a 2 bedroom and 1 bedroom
we asked for an extra key to each room and they gave us the extra keys they just made 2 keys up for one person (now we didnt have our park passes put on the room keys till later and we didnt have a ddp)
we told them that the meals were planed for the two bedroom and same with just sitting and visiting the folks wanted the extra key to our one bedroom as the wife and i dont always mekt it back for meals and this way they could just bring the lef tovers down to us

You might ask for all the keys to be keyed the same. So that the two bedroom and the studios all open with the same key.
