I have not been there since they changed the tickets to magic your way. Can you still turn your room key into a credit card so that you do not have to carry one with? Last year we did this and did run into a few issues where they said it was max'ed out and we had only put like $40 on it..lol There was plenty left on the card but they said "no go". I am hoping this will not happen again. Anyone else had that happen more recently and how do you avoid it?

Yes, you can use your room key card to charge purchases back to your room as long as you have left an imprint back at the resort. If you run into a problem were your card is "maxed out" you can have them call back to your resort to correct the problem. This happened to us once, but of course it was because we had already reached out $500 limit. No problem though, they charged our credit card the $500 and reset our room key charging with anothe $500. Hope not to have that problem this year since we purchased the dining plan.

It wasn't recently, but on our first day at WDW two years ago the card would not work at a store in the MK. The CM asked if we maybe reached the limit but I told her it was not possible becuause we just arrived! Anway, she was very helpful and called our Disney resort and got it straightened out right away. For some reason the previous charge we made (I don't remember, but it was probably for a meal) just hung in their computer system and would not allow further charges until it was pushed through.
