We're staying at Pop in August with our dd2 (almost 3) and dd5 and we're contimplating the sleeping arrangements. DD2 will turn 3 on our trip (yippee!) and wondering if she'll still fit in a Pack N Play and if the room will accomodate it? My DH and I have a king bed so there is no way we can share a double bed nor are we thrilled with the idea of each of us sleeping with a child. Any clever thoughts on sleeping arrangements for the kids on the floor? Also, has anyone used a pack n play in a Pop room? Does it make the room too tight? Thanks a bunch!!! :cutie:

I didn't think WDW would allow 4 or even 3 guest in a king room. It is generally only 2.

that say I think you might have been better off with double beds.

you could have put the pack n play at the end of the first bed - but still be able to go to the restroom - by the other side.

a king bed is pretty big. the room isn't.

Hi! Last May we stayed at the Pop for 8 days. There were four of us, myself, my two adult daughters, an eleven yr old plus a two yr old. I brought a fold out sponge chair (the kind that fold out into a bed) :goodvibes this bed fit perfectly on the floor between the bed and the wall closest to the bath room:cool1: The eleven yr old slept on this and she said it was very comfortable, the sponge is about 8 inches thick, Ithink I bought the chair (bed) at wal-mart. and yes the room will hold a small pack in play:goodvibes might be a tight fit if you wanted to use both a fold out chair and a pack in play:goodvibes

We used a pack n play at Pop. I moved the table over and put it in the corner. That corner was pretty tight but we also parked our double stroller by the window too.

IMO The rooms at POP are very small. I would be thinking about things like can the Pack n Play be folded up or lifted up to sit on a bed during the day so that you can move around? We didn't have the same experience as another poster with the space between the 2nd bed and the wall, ds (7) wanted to sleep there but it was only wide enough for his body and he felt like he was in a cave, it was too scary for him. You can easily fit a child on the floor between the beds you just have to be careful not to step on them if a nighttime bathroom visit is required. When opening our room door the door came to within a few inches of the first bed but there may have been room behind the door to place an pack n play if you're ok with the baby being behind the door. Or, maybe you could move the table and chairs behind the door and put one of the children in that spot.

It's definitely going to be tight but I'm sure with some pixie dust you can make it work and have a magical vacation.

We don't have a king room at Disney...just a king bed at home. Our room at Disney as 2 double beds.

Thanks for all of the input! It's very helpful. And, I love the comment about the pixie dust. :wizard:

Last fall, we had 2 adults, dd13,dd11 on an air mattress and a pack n play for dd2. We had no problem with it at all. Does it take up a lot of room? yes. Is it doable? yes. We had a great trip for 8 days and everyone did fine. I think you will do fine. Have a great trip.

We stayed at AsSports last September and we took a crib sized mattress that we keep under the girls bed, like a trundle. (We drove to Disney) We put it on the floor in the space between the TV and the dressing/closet area wall and it fit perfectly! We had a clear walkway and the mousekeeper made it up daily like a little bed and put her blankie and bear on the pillow! :flower3:

We also used an air mattress at POP. We had connecting rooms, one with 2 dbls & one king. My parents (68) stayed in the dbl. One of my dd's slept in one of their dbls. My other dd slept on the floor next to the wall by my king bed on an air mattress. It worked out just fine. The air mattress is so tight in that spot, she couldn't fall off! It was great.

We stayed at pop with me, Dh, Ds7 ,Ds5 and ds1. We brought our pak n play and it was a perfect fit. If you are in the room facing the tv, we put it just to the right of the tv. (between wall to dressing area/vanity and the entertainment center.) The spot was just the right size. There was plenty of room to walk around with out folding it up. It worked out great.
Good luck! Have fun!

You can ask Mousekeeping for bed rails and put both children in the same bed. Everyone was so tired at the end of the day that we all crashed and never moved until morning. I'll bet the kids won't even know the other one is there.

I know you said you and DH can't share a bed but if you are like us, you'll be dragging yourselves back to the room, carrying two sleeping children, and after a hot shower you will fall into bed and not move the rest of the night. We never even knew the other one was there.

I do think you could fit a pack and play but would your 3-year-old stay or even fit in one?

she'll just about fit but I don't know how happy she'll be about it. Your thoughts about being so tired are true. I bet we wouldn't even notice someone sleeping next to us! :thanks:

It will be a tight fit, but it won't be impossible. We had DD sleep on an air mattress and we just stood it against the wall during the day. It was cramped, but we weren't in the room enough for it to make that much of a difference. Of course, we were in one of the HA king rooms, so there was some extra space anyway.
