Hello! Just found the camping section here on DIS and would like to join in the fun!

We love camping at FtW but haven't for several years due to various life stuff. Had to sell our pop up even. Bought a new 32' Jayco RV last year and will be at FtW Oct 19-26 this year. We are soooo looking forward to it! Been too long. Hoping to get in at least one FtW trip per year seeing as it's a 19.5 hr drive from home.

We've really missed the traditional first full day boat ride to MK. No better way to start the WDW vacation IMHO. Also miss riding bikes around the campground, the camp fire, outdoor movies and just enjoying FtW.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone and have a great time!

Actually, we went last Oct. for the first time(that time of year and first time at the fort) because it is my DD's birthday. We did the halloween party and had so much fun that the kids wanted to go back again. I actually prefer the first week in Dec. just because the weather is more enjoyable for me and all the Christmas decor is up. But we loved staying at the fort so much, and driving down from Maine with the camper in Dec. can be iffy so Oct. it is. Really it doesn't matter what time of the year, as long as I am in Disney I am happy.
