Room for 5?

Any moderate or value resort able to accomodate 5 people? Mom, Dad, 7 year old ds, 5 year old dd, and 3 year old dd?

Port Orleans Riverside accomodates 4 Guests plus one child 9 or under in a Trundle bed. It's a great Resort too. Our family loved it there!

We also did POR with our family of 5. My 4 year-old loved the trundle bed. My husband felt crowded but it's the only moderate choice available that will fit the family of 5 unless you go to a suite at Caribbean Beach(I think).

POR trundle room is your only option in the Moderate catagory, and no Value will fit five. That said, you do have a few other options.

You can fit 5 in most Deluxe rooms. You can also look into one of the Villas (Boardwalk Villas, Villas at Wilderness Lodge, etc.). Both of these options are much more expensive though. You can also rent points from a DVC member for one of the villas, but that can be a bit complicated. Also, dont' forget about the Swan and Dolphin, good rates can sometimes be had at these two hotels.

Another option are the cabins at Ft. Wilderness. They sleep six and have a full kitchen.

The last option is to rent two rooms (and request connecting) at one of the Value resorts. This would be about the same or a bit more than the trundle room (depending on what codes you might get). But you then have two bathrooms instead of one, and a separate room for the kiddies at nap time!

If the kids were a little older I would suggest the FW Cabins, but you may not feel comfortable with them in bunkbeds at that age. IT is certainly an option you should consider in the future so if you don't go with the idea this trip, maybe a trip over to Fort Wilderness to check them out one afternoon would be a good idea.

The moderates can be a little tight with 3 kids, but yours are all pretty young so on this occassion, if you're organised, it shouldn't be too much of a problem for you. Port Orleans is a nice resort and I'm sure you'd all have a great time there.

The POR trundles are great! They push under the bed easily when you need to all be in the room at a non sleeping time and my son found it very comfortable.
