Hi - we sailed once before and had an oceanview room on the Magic. We (me, DH, 2 kids) are getting a verandah for our upcoming cruise on the Fantasy. We booked the guaranteed stateroom so we don't know where our room will be, yet. Are some verandahs not able to hold 4 people (seated) at the same time? It looked like some have 2 chairs and some have 4 but not sure. I was wondering if we will be able to all 4 sit outside during sail away and at the ports, etc. Thanks!

Most only have 2. Only extended verandahs - which usually go quickly - might have 4.

The vast majority of verandas have two chairs. If you want four you need to book one of the aft verandah staterooms or an extended verandah stateroom on deck 5.

I had a "bubble" verandah on Dream (12510 I think) and there were only 2 chairs. There was easily room for 4 chairs depth-wise since this verandah is at least twice as deep as a regular one but not any wider. On a regular verandah, 4 chairs would be pretty "cozy".

The standard veranda sqft is 43sqft, on the Dream/Fantasy.

Which means most verandas will not seat 4 pax at once in chairs.
They will likely hold 4 pax standing fwiw.

We have requested additional little tables. They seem to support 175 #, lol.

This applies to most veranda cabins aboard including cat V , 4a - 4d, cat 5a -d, cat 6 and 7a.
Although cat 6 and some 7's vary.

Cat 4e and cat 5e are another animal.
These 4e's are on the side of the ship on deck 5, with extended verandas.
The cat 5e's are on the stern, facing aft. With more veranda sqft.
These cat 5e's have that knee wall too.

Cat 6 are aft, on the side, with a knee wall. Same 43 sqft veranda generally.

Cat 7 may have an obstruction to the view. On balcony / super structure.
Cat 7's are side view, located fore and aft. Not midship.

Unless you are unlucky and get one of the two cat 7a's aft facing. With a tiny balcony.
(cabins 5188 and 5688);

What category have you booked?

The cat 4e's have larger balconies.

HTH

ETA; I see now, ... you booked *GT rate. Odds are you will get a cat 5 or 4 up high. On deck 10. IMO.

All those balconies are the same 43 sqft.

No way chairs for four pax. Ask for another little table. lol.

That is correct. Most balconies cannot seat 4 abreast. Unless booked in a cat R, T, 4e, 5e.

Most balconies will handle 4 pax standing. Without the chairs on the deck. .... eek.

The standard balcony comes with two chairs and a little table.

No way will 4 chairs fit on a standard veranda.

Ask for another little table for the four pax. They are strong little tables.
Lay a towel over it, good to go. Another seat.

Good Luck
