Room Discounts with/without CM

I realize the actual percentages change but in general it appears that the discount if CM stays in the room is typically 10% more than a standard F&F discount. So my question is, why would anyone even NOT take the "CM in room" discount? Even with the added cost of an extra person, it is more than offset by the extra 10% discount in every scenario I have run. Am I missing something here? Speaking of discounts, am I correct that the typical Christmas Holiday (early December) discount is 50% for F&F and 60% with CM?

Yep sounds like you have it figured out.

As far as the CM staying in the room - my daughter does the friends and family discount for just that -for when she is not staying in the room so maybe if her brother and his family comes down or cousins and she does not plan to stay with them.

The holiday discount is often awesome too!

There could be several reasons. Maybe it is already a family of 4 and adding the CM would put them over the occupancy, Or maybe they want to get the dining plan in which case the each person has to get it. If the CM is going to be working its not really worth it for them to pay for that person

Since my daughter plans to be with us the entire time, it seems the cheapest way would be the CM in room discount. Further, it looks like it might be cheaper to use TiW rather than the discounted DDP. She starts down there in late May so with the "probation" period she wont be able to look at rates until at least late August, but her friend has already been down there for a couple of seasons and can monitor for us. Really hoping to take advantage of this discount and at long last move up to a deluxe (probably Y&B)

There's a probation period? And one that long? What about the CPs who come in August and leave in January? If that's the case, they wouldn't be able to use the discount until their program was almost over :confused3

No, I started in August and booked a room at 60% the second I had HUB access. The only waiting period I know is 90 days for DCL discounts.

Well I was sneaky and did it after trad. You're supposed to create it during your training but as soon as you've worked and have access to a Disney computer you can create it.

I'm intending on booking for the discount right after traditions. I have a couple questions:
1) is it true that non peak seasons you can get off to 60%?
2) what do you mean by disney computer? can you only access the hub through a disney computer?

You can access the Hub through a home computer but there are some functions on it that you can only do through a work or Disney computer. You can book hotel rooms at home though.
