Room discounts for Oct

We are arriving Oct. 2nd.. I know I can book free dining (soon to be offered) but typically for room discounts do all dates have to fall in the offered dates or do they also just go by arrival dates? Trying to decide if I should go with free dining as my room discount may be blocked by dates. We are staying until Oct. 9th.

For room-only reservations, you only get the discount on the nights that are covered. You could book free dining when it's released then change to room only if that ends up being a better discount for you.
