Room discount for Front Line Healthcare workers?

A family friend and I were talking the other day and he said he heard about a room discount for Front line health care workers. He mentioned the rooms were for stays AoA or POP and were 99 dollars. This seems like an extreme discount to me.

My bother and sister in law are both front line health workers so wanted to pass this info along to them (it would be their first Disney trip) but didn’t want to get their hopes up if its not legit.

Has anyone heard of this deal or others that they could ask about? Thanks in advance!

Sounds like an unfounded rumor. There is nothing about that on Disney's special offer page. Also, $99 for a standard room at Pop or AOA doesn't sound like that extreme of a discount, depending on what time of year it is. The difficulty of deciding and verifying exactly who would qualify as a front-line medical worker also makes it seem like this policy would be unlikely for DIsney to take on. Other front-line workers who are not medical might feel slighted & complain, as well. That would be a rabbit hole for Disney imo.

Completely agree, but just wanted to check to see if anyone was familiar with this. We usually stay DVC and only add a hotel room a night here or there so don’t pay attention to room deals.

Swan/Dolphin has a nurses rate. They’ve offered it for years.
There may be special offers targeting COVID workers thru travel agents, no idea if any are still valid or how good - try Google.
